It must be said that first and foremost we are “Bible People” at FBC Dawson. We believe that the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, and the only certain rule of faith and obedience. With that being said, we also emphasize these creeds and confessions as ways to express what we believe Holy Scripture teaches clearly. Creeds and Confessions are helpful “so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” (Ephesians 4:14) Our Pastor fully subscribes to the Second London Confession, and encourages a subscription of unity among all our members.
